Organizational Chart
2.1 The Director of Health Services
is the Administrative Head of the Health Department of A&N Administration
who inturn reports to the Secretary Health and Principal Secretary/Commissioner
Cum Secretary Health who are higher up in the hierarchy.
2.2
The
National Health Mission is implemented through the State Health Society which
is under the Administrative control of Mission Director, NHM. The Secretary Health is designated as Mission
Director NHM at present. The Principal
Secretary Health is the Chairman of the Executive Committee of State Health
Society and the Chief Secretary is the
Chairman of the Governing Council of the State Health Society.
2.3 The State Health Society is designated to also function as State Health Agency for implementation
of Ayushman Bharat PMJAY. The Secretary
Health is designated as Chief Executive Officer of State Health Agency.
2.4 The Andaman & Nicobar AIDS control Society
has been constituted for implementation of National AIDS control programs in
the Islands. The Principal Secretary
Health is the Chairman and Director
of Health Services is the Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of this
Society. The Project Director, ANACS is
the Head of the Project Management Unit.
2.5 The State AYUSH Society
has been constituted for implementation of National AYUSH Mission in the
islands. The Principal Secretary Health
is the Chairman and Secretary Health
is the Vice Chairman of the Executive Council of this Society. The Deputy
Director AYUSH is the administrative head of the Project Management Unit.
